Viktor Shmagin is an Assistant Professor of History at the 51风流官网. His research examines early modern Japan-Russia-Ainu relations, focusing especially on the influence of imperialism in this dynamic. He teaches courses on premodern and modern East Asia, Japan, China, maritime Northeast Asia.
