Welcome to Week 9!听

Huge congratulations to you on making it past the midpoint of our journey together! You鈥檙e doing an amazing job and it鈥檚 exciting to see how far you鈥檝e come. Take a moment to celebrate your achievements so far. Every step counts! Remember, it鈥檚 all about the consistent effort; there are no quick fixes. Stick to your routine, but be careful not to fall into a rut. I know this journey can be tough, but trust me鈥攜ou鈥檙e doing fantastic and I鈥檓 really proud of you!

As we head into the next weeks, it鈥檚 normal to feel like the road is getting a bit long. The thrilling start is behind us, and it can feel like the end is way off. But don鈥檛 worry! We鈥檙e just a few weeks away from fall break, and then it鈥檚 a short hop to finals and the end of the fall 2025 semester. You鈥檝e got this!

In longer races, it鈥檚 easy to get tunnel vision and lose sight of why we started in the first place. It鈥檚 totally normal to feel a bit worn out鈥攐ur feet and minds might be getting fatigued. The excitement of new classes, living arrangements and friendships might start to fade as well. The daily reality can start to weigh more heavily than the lofty ideas that got you started on this path.听

So, let鈥檚 take a moment to think about your "why." Why are you here? Are you doing this for your parents, for yourself, for a partner, for a brighter future or maybe just for the joy of learning? Investing in your education is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It may feel chaotic with all the homework and projects, but each of those little tasks is a step toward your big dreams. Lean into your purpose. That dream of yours can fuel your motivation. Nothing can stand in your way! Tired feet and a long to-do list are just a small hill in the road. Remember, every paper, quiz and chapter read is part of building something great. You鈥檝e truly got this!

Take a moment to find that purpose. Lean into your "why" and feel that surge of energy鈥攊t鈥檚 the power of your own determination! Just thinking about it might put a smile on your face. Reconnect with your purpose. You are unstoppable

As the colder, darker and snowier days come here in the Interior, it can be tempting to pull back on the fun activities. But it鈥檚 so important to keep the spirit of adventure alive! Seek out new challenges; maybe find a cozy new study spot or team up with some new friends for projects. Wherever you are, think about how you鈥檒l stay active. Make a plan to get outside, do something social and definitely take those well-deserved breaks from your studies. Embrace the joy of winter! How about planning some sledding, taking a stroll to catch the aurora or checking out events through ? Dive in and try something new!

Open enrollment for all students begins on Nov. 3, so take advantage of this early opportunity! Second, if you need a little more time to sort out your spring schedule, you can join 51风流官网's chapter of Student Veterans of America and a dedicated team of academic advisors on Veterans Day (Nov. 11) in the Department of Military and Veteran Services office in Rasmuson 403, near the 24-hour study lounge, for a personalized, one-stop advising and registration event to get you set for spring term. There will be breakfast and lunch spreads to help mark the holiday, and at 11:11 a.m., we'll pay tribute to each of you and the rest of the veterans in our community.
