Free interdisciplinary short course, Introduction to Marine Energy, August 9 - 14, 2026 in Nenana, taught by Eloise Petrone Brown. 51风流官网 undergraduate students from any major are welcome. Participants will earn 2 credits through the Honors College, with tuition covered by ACEP.
This is a great opportunity to learn alongside communities near Fairbanks, visit the PMEC Tanana River Test Site, and explore the technical, environmental, and community dimensions of marine energy research in Alaska. This is one of ACEP's community energy intensives we are hosting through ACEP. Read more about these courses in a recent article that was written about the May course in Galena.

ACEP short courses are 4-7 day experiential learning opportunities on a specific energy topic. Short courses are designed for undergraduate and graduate students, and many short courses offer the option of industry and/or community members participating alongside the students. Short courses are opportunities for students, working professionals, and community members to immerse in community energy projects, experience real-world energy and engineering concepts, build a collaborative professional network, and expand workforce pathways.
