Holly Beeman (Tok, RAHI 2024)
Holly received the Alaska NSF EPSCoR - RAHI Partnership Scholarship for the fall 2025 semester.
She is pursuing Health Sciences at the University of Alaska Anchorage, combining STEM education and cultural understanding to improve healthcare access across Alaska. Holly鈥檚 journey began at RAHI, where she challenged herself with college-level STEM courses and gained valuable skills in data interpretation and time management, setting the foundation for her undergraduate studies.
Her interest in medical research and patient care grew through shadowing local providers at Providence Hospital, exploring lab-based work, and participating in medical simulations at the Della Keats Health Sciences Program. Holly also engaged in advocacy for rare disease funding in Washington, D.C., expanding her understanding of healthcare policy and systemic barriers faced by families in Alaska.
Holly aims to leverage her STEM education and cultural knowledge to contribute meaningfully to research and healthcare delivery, focusing on underserved and rural communities across the state.
