    Persevering through the coldest winter on record proved interesting for us all; Nanook Recreation, including the SRC and Outdoor Adventures, was able to run a myriad of programs for the 51·çÁ÷¹ÙÍø community and greater Fairbanks population. While incredibly content with the energy and stoke sustained throughout the winter months, we are gearing up for the warmth and extended sunlight that affords us all ample opportunities to venture outdoors and absorb some much-needed vitamin D.

The field systems support GPS, weather monitoring and ice-melt measurements in extreme Arctic conditions, highlighting how the Makerspace helps turn research ideas into working solutions for real-world science.

You can feel the campus temperature rising. Not just from the returning sun but from that unmistakable hum of frantic final prep, the collective exhale of hard-earned relief and the kind of pure joy that only graduation weekend can spark. In the 20-plus years I've spent walking these halls as both a student and staff member, this seasonal "fever" remains my absolute favorite time of year.
