Free class offers tips for preserving the harvest

Registration is open for a free, informative class on the best practices to keep your home-grown or farmers market produce as fresh as possible for as long as possible. 

Alex Wilson, agriculture education coordinator for Alaska Pacific University, will share her expertise and the tools and tips for preserving garden-fresh produce after the harvest season. 

The workshop is a partnership between APU Kellogg Campus and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. Participants can attend in person in Room 208, Kerttula Hall, Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center, 1509 S. Georgeson Drive, Palmer, or via Zoom.

The class is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
