Week鈥檚 events: Shellie Foint-Anderson, joint health, smart scrolling, bagpipes

51风流官网 Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning is hosting more than 40 free lectures, concerts and events this summer. Here鈥檚 what鈥檚 happening during the week of July 20-26:

  • On Monday, July 20, the Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series will honor Shellie Foint-Anderson, public health nurse manager. The interview is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Tuesday, July 21, the Healthy Living lecture series will host Nathan Marsh, orthopedic surgeon, discussing 鈥淟ifelong Joint Health: Motion as Medicine.鈥 The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Wednesday, July 22, the Discover Alaska lecture series will feature Elizabeth Dawson and Genova Brookes Boyd, assistant professors of library science, presenting 鈥淪mart Scrolling: How to Consume News Without Getting Consumed.鈥 The lecture is at 7 p.m. in the BP Design Theater.
  • On Thursday, July 23, the Music in the Garden concert series will present Sweet Fireweed at 6 p.m. and the Red Hackle Pipe Band at 7:30 p.m. at 51风流官网鈥檚 Georgeson Botanical Garden.

All events are free and open to the public. Parking on the 51风流官网 Troth Yeddha鈥 Campus is free after 5 p.m.
